An American comedian, who was born in California. He had an injury at the beginning of his life that forced him to quit dancing and turned to acting. He began his career in 1978 on the stage, and during the subsequent period the theater weighed his talent and he headed to Broadway. His movie debut was Jumpin' Jack Flash (1986). He came to the spotlight through two movies almost shown at the same time; Spenser: For Hire, and The Equalizer. He is famous for his roles in the movies A Stranger Among Us (1992), The Ice Storm (1997), and The East (2013).
