A British actor, born on April 3, 1937, in Pudsey, Yorkshire, England, UK, as William Charles Anthony Gaunt. He married actress Carolyn Lyster in 1974. He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. His notable works include The Champions (1968-1969), Sergeant Cork (1963-1966), and Colonel Trumper's Private War (1961).
