A British actress, born in Cairo, Egypt, on June 15, 1945, as Nicola Mary Pagett Scott. She married Graham Swannell (1975-1998), and they had a daughter. She is known for Anne of the Thousand Days (1969), There's a Girl in My Soup (1970) and An Awfully Big Adventure (1995).
When she was young, Nicola went to several countries with her father, who worked as a diplomat, and she spent most of her childhood in Japan and Hong Kong. When she became a teenager, she returned to the United Kingdom and attended a Catholic boarding school, then she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In 1997, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and chronicled her experiences with depression in a 1998 book called "The Diamonds Behind My Eyes. She passed away on 3 March 2021, in London, England, UK.
