A Dutch writer, born in Kapelle, Netherlands. She worked as a librarian and journalist before beginning her literary career in the early 1950s. Her works varied between songs, playwriting, and radio drama. Her books include "Abeltje", "Pluk van de Petteflet", and "Jip en Janneke". She won the State Prize for Children and Youth Literature in 1964. Her credits include Beppie, My Giraffe, and Ja zuster, nee zuster. |
