A Spanish writer and politician, born in the municipality of Figueras, Spain. The Spanish painter Salvador Dali was his colleague during their studies. He participated in 1926 in what became known as the Plot of Prats de Molló. After his release from prison, he studied engineering and learned about the world of artistic creativity. He appeared in two films written by Luis Buñuel, which are An Andalusian Dog (1929), where he appeared in the piano scene next to Salvador Dali, and The Golden Age (1930).
