An American Actor who was born in Denver, Colorado, USA on July 8, 1917. He married actress Adele Jergens (1951-1991) with whom he had his only son Tracy, and she remained with him until he died on January 26, 1991, in Camilo, California, USA, of lymphoma. He is known for Hangover Square (1945), Margie (1946), and Dragonwyck (1946). He spent his childhood in his hometown of Denver, and after completing his studies, he joined a local company before moving to New York in 1942 to appear on Broadway in the show Kiss for Cinderella. He signed a contract with Fox the following year. He played many successful roles during the forties, and when his star faded during the fifties, he started to work on television. Afterwards, he turned to a successful businessman in real estate sales.
