Serbian writer and director who moved to New York in 1991, where he graduated from City College of New York. His documentary film, Escape, won the Audience Award at the Hamptons International Film Festival in 2004. His first feature film, Here and There (2009), won the Best Narrative Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2009. He was voted Best Director in 2009 for Here and There by the International Federation of Film Critics, Serbia. The Film Academy of Serbia submitted the film to the Oscars to compete in the category of Best Foreign Film.
