An American director, born in New York City. He is best known for directing films. He achieved fame in short films. In 1941, Sidney turned to feature films. His works include Kiss Me Kate (1953), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Ziegfeld Follies (1945), and Annie Get Your Gun (1950). He passed away on May 5, 2002 at his home in Los Angeles, at the age of 85. |
