Salma El-Sharkawy |
American costume designer, born in Chicago, Illinois, United States. She began designing costumes for theater at the age of fifteen, studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, and worked as a costume designer for the American production and distribution company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Her most important works include Mogambo (1953), Give a Girl a Break (1953), Athena (1954), and The Tender Trap (1955). Besides cinema, Helen designed Grace Kelly's wedding dress for Prince Rainier III. She died on November 9, 1985, in Palm Springs, California, United States.
