He has several documentaries that have won several awards and toured various international film festivals, most notably his documentary Quelques miettes pour les oiseaux (2005), which won the Critics’ Award at the Montpellier Mediterranean Film Festival in France. The French-Algerian director also directed his short film En terrain connu (2013). His first cinematic debut by directing his feature film Adieu Gary, which won the Critics’ Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
