Then he obtained a Master of Arts in Biology in 1938 and a Doctorate in Botany in 1941 and wrote the novel "Embrace of the Serpent," which was co-authored by the sociologist Theodor Koch-Grünberg., and they went through adventures in the Amazon forests at the beginning of the twentieth century. It was adopted in the movie Embrace of the Serpent (2015)
