A Syrian photographer, born in Damascus. He lived in Libya, Lebanon, and then France. His work included capturing private moments of a number of Arab leaders, from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and King Abdullah II of Jordan and his family, to the late Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto. He covered the wars in Iraq, Lebanon, and Bosnia, and covered a number of film festivals and major fashion shows.
His photos have been published and are still being published on the covers of a number of major international magazines, such as Paris Match and Business Week, in addition to many Arabic magazines, such as Laha and Al-Majalla. He is known for Kaleidoscope (2015) and Broken Dinners, Postponed Kisses (2018).
