A Korean actress, she began her artistic career at the age of fifteen, when she joined the girl's band, Baby V.O.X, in 1999. In 2002, the director Kim Tae-gyu introduced her and her group in the musical film, Emergency 19. In 2005, she separated from the band and began working as an actress in 2006, which is considered the richest year in her short artistic life, where she played a pivotal role in the film The Legend of Seven Cutter. In the same year, she participated in The Vineyard Man
and Princess Hours. She also participated in the TV series Coffee Prince, for which she won the Best Actress award in Korea in 2008. She graduated from Chung-Ang University in 2012, where she studied cinematography. In 2012, she presented a short film directed by her, The Knitting, which was her graduation project. The Knitting was invited to compete for the Best Short Film at the Busan International Film Festival in Korea. She won the Popularity Award in 2009, for her role in the series My Fair Lady.
