She had a serious personality and strict features. She grew up in Canada and studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York. She appeared on stage for the first time in 1902, retired in 1954, and spent her last days in New York. Lucile Watson died on June 24, 1962, in New York City, New York, USA, of a heart attack.
