He is an American actor of Korean origins, born on October 20, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He became an actor, which was against his family's wishes as he left university in order to achieve his dream as an actor. He was acclaimed for his work in the series, The West Wing (2000), the series Roswell (2000), the movie Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), and the movie The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).
