An American actor, born in New York, United States. He studied acting, then worked on stage. His TV debut was in The Web (1951-1953), then his cinematic debut was in Fright (1956). He participated in many works, such as Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971), The Towering Inferno (1974), and Deep Space (1988).
