Toqa Hesham |
An American playwright, director, screenwriter, and producer, born on July 14, 1917, in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He wrote radio scripts and military training films during World War II. His film credits include writing the screenplay of Alfred Hitchcock's Rope (1948) and Sydney Pollack's The Way We Were (1973). Laurents was nominated for two Academy Awards in 1978 and won two Tony Awards. He is also known for writing West Side Story and The Turning Point. He died on May 5, 2011, in Manhattan, New York, USA, due to complications from pneumonia.
