Swedish comic book artist and author, best known for creating the character "Bamse." He was born in Lindome, Sweden. He worked as a comic book artist after having stage and screen acting experience. Since 1944, he has produced children's comics, primarily for the Swedish market, though his works have been translated into other languages. He became famous for creating characters and comic books such as "Pellefant" and Bamse i Trollskogen (1991).
