An American poet, novelist, children's author, and short story writer, born on January 10, 1882, in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. She studied at Smith University in Northampton, Massachusetts. Olive Higgins Prouty is best known for being the author of Stella Dallas, and is also famous for the novel Now, Voyager, which later became a movie in 1942.
