A Russian actor, director, and writer, born in Sogom, Russia. In 1989, he graduated from VGIK, and later, he studied acting at the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York. In 1998, he co-founded the Independent Cinema Festival "Pure Dreams" held in St. Petersburg. He is known for Zheleznaya pyata oligarkhii (1998), Gibel imperii (2005), and Rejection (2009). He married Inna Volkova, with whom he has one child.
