An American actress, born on April 12, 1970, in New Jersey. Retta is of Liberian descent and is the niece of the former Liberian president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf through marriage. She graduated from Duke University in North Carolina, after which she started working as a chemist, then relocated to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career in comedy. Retta began performing stand-up comedy in 1996 and is best known for Parks and Recreation (2009-2015), Fracture (2007), and Good Boys (2019). |
