Palestinian director, born in the Lebanese capital Beirut in 1952. She traveled to live in the British capital London during the outbreak of the Lebanese Civil War in 1975 and studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art and the Slade School of Fine Art, after which she specialized in presenting video projects in Canada and the United States of America. She also worked as a visiting professor at a large number of European universities.
