An American actress, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA, to a family of artists. Her father, Sam Rosenberg, was a comedian, dancer, and singer, and her mother, Betty Friedan, was a professional dancer. After her parents got divorced, their nine-year-old daughter, Ina, was sent to a boarding school in Pennsylvania. Ina aspired to become an actress, and her mother encouraged her to enroll her in a school to learn ballet. At the age of fifteen, she appeared in a television show in the early fifties of the twentieth century. She later joined New York University to study theater arts and worked in some local theaters. Her first appearance on Broadway was in 1957. Two years later, she won a theater award, and director Carlo Ponti saw her and gave her a role in the film The Black Orchid in 1958 with his wife, Sophia Loren, and actor Anthony Quinn. She died in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. Among her most famous works are The Comancheros (1961), The Patsy (1964), and The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965).
