A German violinist, born in the German city of Aachen to a German father and an American mother. He began playing the violin at the age of four. He studied at the Juilliard School, where he was taught by famous violinists such as Itzhak Perlman, and won the institute's award for musical composition with a fugue piece in the style of Johann Sebastian Bach. During that period, his father refused to finance his university studies, so he worked as a fashion model until he was nicknamed the David Beckham of music.
