Toqa Hesham |
An American director, born on June 19, 1952 in Princeton, Illinois. He attended St. George's Public School, after which his family moved to Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, and he studied high school at the Woburn Collegiate Institute. He attended Ryerson University, but soon dropped out. He received an honorary degree from Ryerson Theater College, worked with Toronto Free Theater as a director, and after several plays that had limited success, he left the Canadian scene for New York City, where he co-founded Dodger Theater Company in 1978 and also directed his first production, Gimme Shelter.
