A French actor, born on January 11, 1916, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was the father of Bertrand Blier. He was awarded an Honorary César Award on March 2, 1989. He began working on stage in the mid-1930s and was versatile, playing dramatic and comedic roles. Among his notable works are Quai des Orfèvres (1947), Speriamo che sia femmina (1986) and L'école buissonnière (1949). He was married to Gisèle Brunet from 1938 to 1960. He then married Annette Martin. He died on March 29, 1989, in Saint-Cloud, Hauts-de-Seine, France.
