An American singer and actress, born as Dolores Janney Rivera in California to parents of Mexican origin. In 1984, she married José Trinidad Marín, who was accused in 2006 of molesting her daughter, knowing that he had been on the run from justice since 1997. She married baseball player Esteban Loaiza in 2010.
She was the spokeswoman for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and was officially appointed on August 6, 2012. She has sold approximately 15 million albums worldwide and participated in many advertisements for companies such as cosmetics, and her albums include Mi Vida Loca (2007) and Joyas Prestadas: Pop (2011). She's known for Filly Brown (2012). She died in a plane crash on December 9, 2012.
