An American screenwriter and producer, born in Chicago, Illinois, United States, to a father who worked as an accountant for the Link-Belt Company and a housewife mother. In high school, he joined the Reserve Officers' Training Corps, and after serving in the Navy, he joined the University of Michigan, then worked as a writer on WBBM radio in Chicago, and began his career at that time. He's known for The Bold and the Beautiful, as well as The Young and the Restless.
