An American director, born in San Francisco, California, USA, on October 15, 1900. He died on September 13, 1987 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, from Alzheimer's disease. He was nominated and won many awards throughout his directorial career, including being nominated for an Academy Award in 1943 and getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his work in the field of cinema. Mervyn Leroy married 3 women and had 4 children. Among the most important works of Mervyn Leroy are: Gypsy (1962), Random Harvest (1942), The Wizard of OZ (1939) and many others .
