An Irish writer and researcher, whose writings varied between medieval literature, religious doctrine, literary criticism, radio broadcasting, and the relationship between good and evil. He was famous for the children’s series "Narnia" and other fantasy books such as "The Space...Read more Trilogy" and "The Screwtape Letters". He was a friend of J.R.R. Tolkien., the author of "The Lord of the Rings" series. They both served on the English faculty at Oxford University. In 1956, he married American writer Joy Davidman. He died on November 22, 1963.
