He attended Brooklyn College, and changed his name to Sandy Barron, inspired by Barron's Bookstore. He began his career on Broadway in Tchin-Tchin in 1962. He also appeared...Read more in several other Broadway plays in the 1970s, and appeared regularly on The Merv Griffin Show. He played himself in Woody Allen's Broadway Danny Rose (1984). He died on January 21, 2001 in Van Nuys, California, USA.
