Egyptian actor and shaabi singer who was born in Nag Hammadi, Qena Governorate. He became very popular in Cairo in the mid-1980s and early 1990s. He was called The Franco Singer of Upper Egypt for mixing Arabic and English in his songs. He is known for Back Home (1992).
