An American-Canadian director, producer, and screenwriter. He holds both American and Canadian citizenship. He was born in Medford, Massachusetts, USA. He graduated from Seton Hall University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He began his career working as a production assistant during his undergraduate studies, and worked his way up through various production departments until he entered the film industry as a director, screenwriter, and producer. He has written, produced, and directed several films, most notably S.W.A.T.: Under Siege, In Enemy Hands, and Extraction. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), the Writers Guild of America (WGA), and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
