An American journalist, producer, and actress, born in Oakland, USA to a father of Czech and Polish descent, and a mother of French, British, and German descent. She graduated from Stanford University, where she studied political science, and joined the School of Journalism at Columbia University. She participated in many artistic works, such as the movie The Dream Team (1989), Someone like You (2001), and Noel (2004).
