An American director and actor, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He studied with acting coach Sanford Meisner. While his directorial debut was in the film Come Back, Little Sheba (19520. He also presented the film The Teahouse of the August Moon (1956), The Last Angry Man (1959), and the BUtterfield 8 (1960).
