A British writer, born in St. Leonards, England. In 1968, he enrolled at Cambridge University and started working on the committee of the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club as a recruiting manager. In 1982, he established the film production company Green Point. He wrote the scripts for many films and also participated in theater. He won several awards, such as the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award, the Golden Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival, and the London Theater Critics Award. He is married to the French fashion designer Nicole Farhi.
