She studied at the Hebrew Institute of Long Island, and spent her first university year...Read more in Jerusalem. Then she completed her university studies in American history at the City College of New York in 1969, and obtained a bachelor’s degree. Then she joined Brandeis University, where she obtained a master’s degree in 1972. Then she obtained a doctorate in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies in 1976, and worked at the University of Washington between 1974 and 1979. Then she worked as an assistant professor at the University of California. Some of her credits include Denial (2016) and The Meaning of Hitler (2020).
