Her first novel, "Union Street," was published in 1982 and won the Fawcett Society book prize. Her second novel, "Blow Your House Down," was adapted...Read more into a play in 1994. Her most famous work is the Regeneration Trilogy, and the second novel in this trilogy, "The Eye in the Door," published in 1993, won The Guardian's Fiction Prize. She is known for Stanley & Iris (1990) and Regeneration (1997).
