A Pakistani director and producer, born in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan to journalist Javed Jabbar. She is the first cousin of Pakistani-British singer, actor and director, Yasir Akhtar. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College in Karachi, she moved to the United States to study cinema and obtained a degree in film and television from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993, and then returned to Pakistan. Some of her credits include Ek Jhoothi Love Story (2020) and Dobara Phir Se (2016).
