A Turkish actress, born in Istanbul, Turkey to Üstün Ergüder, a professor in political sciences. She studied at Franklin & Marshall College and joined the School of Drama at The New School. She later joined the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She worked in several European films and mastered the English language. She became famous in Turkey and the Arab world through the series 1001 Nights (2001). She is known for Shooting Johnson Roebling (2007) and Behzat Ç.: I Buried You in My Heart (2011).
