A politician, lawyer, and member of the United States Senate, born and raised in New Jersey in a family of African origins. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1991, and a Master of Arts in Sociology in 1992 from Stanford University. He also obtained a doctorate in law in 1997 from Yale University School of Law. He is the first African-American senator from the state of New Jersey. He has appeared in a number of documentaries, such as 13th (2016) and An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power (2017). |
