An Egyptian director and actor, born in Alexandria in 1948. He started his artistic career as a singer in the Sayed Darwish chorus and turned to acting and directing in 1967. He became known for several plays, such as The Clown by Mohammed Al Maghut. He also directed the operetta of Scheherazade by Sayed Darwish. He taught a group of the brightest Egyptian artists, including actor Ahmed Rizk, singer Amina, and director Ahmed El Sayed. He acted in the plays Football Is All About Goals, and People's Artist. He died on November 11, 2015.
