An Egyptian poet, born in 1928 in Aswan, Egypt. He received his primary education in Nubia and joined the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University, but he did not complete his studies due to personal circumstances. He participated in the establishment of the Child Culture Association in Cairo, which included a group of intellectuals and literature workers, such as Dr. Suhayr al-Qalamawi.
He published his poems in Arab newspapers and magazines and practiced literary criticism in publications such as Al Alam AlArabi, Al-Adab, and others. In 1964, he turned to Sufi poetry and became known for it. He is known for several collections of poetry, such as "Songs of the Battle" (1956) and "Songs of the Marchers" (1957). He wrote "Myth and Legend in the Land of Nubia." He also wrote the songs for the series Gom'aa Out in the Wind.
