Jane Greer was born in Washington, District of Columbia, USA on September 9, 1924 as Bettejane Greer. Jane Greer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. She married actor Rudy Vallée (1943-1944), and after the divorce, she married producer Edward Lasker (1947-1963) and had 3 children with him before their divorce. Among Jane Greer's most important roles are in Out of the Past (1947), Man of a Thousand Faces (1957), and Against All Odds (1984). Jane, as a child, won beauty contests, and in her teens studied singing and dancing. She sang with big bands in Washington DC, and her face attacked a partial paralysis that she overcame through facial exercises. She met her first husband while working on the radio.
