An American actor born in Oklahoma on February 10, 1906. Lon Chaney Jr. was influenced by his father, the silent film star and the pioneer of make-up art, Lon Chaney. In 1935, Chaney became a producer and produced several low-budget films, after which he followed in his father's footsteps, making horror films with Universal Pictures. However, he struggled to escape his father's shadow. Among his most notable works are Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943), Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948), and High Noon (1952). In his last days, he suffered from many diseases until he died in 1973. |
