A Jordanian novelist of Palestinian origin, who lived his childhood in Jericho, then moved to Amman, following the setback of June 1967, where he resided and received his education until he obtained a diploma in arts from the Amman Training College in 1975. He later worked as a teacher in Saudi Arabia from 1975 to 1977, then he worked at the Arab Bank in Amman from 1978 to 1995. He then worked as director of the Cultures Center for Studies (Intelligentsia) from 1996 until 2004. He began writing his first novel, The Road to Belharith, in 1977, and it was published in 1982. He was elected President of the Jordanian Writers Association from 2001 to 2003 and was an active member of the Association’s administrative body for several sessions and in the General Secretariat of the Arab Writers Union.
