A Canadian director and producer, born in 1962, in Toronto, Canada. His works include Station Eleven (2021), Game of Thrones (2011), and The Handmaid's Tale (2017). He graduated from the Film Studies Program at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. He also studied at the American Film Institute's Center for Advanced Film Studies in Los Angeles. In 2018, he was nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for Game of Thrones: The Dragon and the Wolf (2017), but lost to Stephen Daldry for The Crown: Paterfamilias (2017). |
