British film actor born in Newport, United Kingdom. During his time at Radley College, he worked as a stagehand and sometimes took on small roles. The outbreak of World War II disrupted his artistic life, and he returned after the war ended. His most important works include Octopussy (1983), GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), and The Spy Who Loved Me (1977). He passed away in East Sussex on 19 December 1999, at the age of 85, following a road accident. |
