An American screenwriter and actor, born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He began his artistic career after graduating from Stanford University in 1934. The first of his nineteen films, The Bride Wore Red, was released in 1937. Salt's career in Hollywood came to an end when he was blacklisted after refusing to testify before a House committee in 1951. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA. |
