An American film and television actress, born on March 25, 1919, in New York City, USA. Jeanne Cagney has four brothers, including actor James Cagney and actor and producer William Cagney.
She attended Hunter College High School, majoring in French and German, and graduated from Hunter College High School, starring in plays produced by the Hunter College of City College of New York, after which she studied acting at the Pasadena Playhouse in California.
She made her movie debut in 1939 and is best known for The Time of Your Life (1948), Don't Bother to Knock (1952), Man of a Thousand Faces (1957), and Quicksand (1950). She died on December 7, 1984, in Newport Beach, California, USA, of lung cancer.
